Reflections

I give counsel and hope to many people, yet I despair when times are dire.

Many people think I am too philosophical. I just consider them to be too mundane.

Speaking lies is extremely bad. But you don’t have to tell the full truth either!

You don’t need poverty or disease to make life miserable. Unbridled lust and hate will do just fine for that purpose.

Most practical solution for happiness?

nāsti buddhir ayuktasya na cāyuktasya bhāvanā
na cābhāvayataḥ śāntir aśāntasya kutaḥ sukham - Bhagavad Gita 2.66

“One who is not connected with the Supreme can have neither transcendental intelligence nor a steady mind, without which there is no possibility of peace. And how can there be any happiness without peace?
