Kanimozhi and Periyarism
I wonder if people like Kanimozhi will ever grow tired of the stale, putrid, overused anti-brahminical chants of ‘Periyarism’, a stupid brand of politics (read my other article related to this ‘ism’) and so-called reforms started over half a century ago. Its been so overused that one thinks if these people are just desperate and have no other ways of reacting to criticism. Get creative, IMO!
So much for a person who is projected as an intellectual and poetess. But can one expect anything better from (one of) the offspring of Karunanidhi?
The way Kanimozhi became a MP reminds me of a line from the song “Rani Maharani” in the film “Saraswathi Sabatham”. The line is “Yanai Maalai pottadhale ala vantha Rani”… translated that “The queen who came to power because she was garlanded by an elephant”. Funny how people could think of such situations while writing songs decades earlier.
Kanimozhi has written to the Editor of the New Indian Express saying that she never mentioned any of the names as the article portrays and expresses her dismay at the bad reporting. Yeah, right!
Maybe she tried to get the kind of attention her father gets when he thunders that he is a dravidian.
Poor woman! Sour grapes. 😛
